And Now for Something Classic
Just throwing in an oldy for fun. Cheers!
Season 1 (later called Murder House) - This was the only season that truly made an attempt to be "scary", and it pulls it off in a few parts. I fell in love with the show as I watched each week, as I think everyone did.
Asylum - And then this came out. My excitement was very high - and I never finished the season. I was just completely bored by it. I've thought about going back to watch again, but I just don't wanna, and you can't make me!
Coven - This one turned out to be one of my favorites. This was when the show took a bit of a turn for the truly absurd, and I think it benefits greatly. It helps that I like a witch story, no matter how silly it turns out to be. I also started my little crush on Emma Roberts here.
Freakshow - This is my favorite, followed by Coven. I love a carnival story, and freaks are divine. The music was great, and Twisty is immortalized on my eyeballs.
Hotel - Lady Gaga was surprisingly good - at least not bad anyway. This season was also the sexiest by far. It is a disjointed mess, but so are they all. Evan Peters character in this season should have won awards.
Roanoke - Haven't seen it. I don't watch things on TV, so waiting to stream it. Maybe you guys can tell me if it is any good.
This is just a super quick bit of news. A few days ago, the beloved book series, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, was re-released with the original artwork intact. For anyone who loves these books, you may know that some years ago, they were released with new art that was outright insulting. Finally, they have gotten around to adding the Stephen Gammell art back to them. Go buy it here, and relive your childhood - maybe with your own kids, which I seriously look forward to doing.
