The Faculty (1998)
Robert Rodriguez, Deperado, Spy Kids, From Dusk Till Dawn, Sin City, etc. etc. etc.
The 90’s were my time. When I came of age and learned all that special shit you learn from the ages of 10 – 20. Grunge rocked my world, flannel covered my pasty, flabby body, and movies like The Faculty got watched over and over, playing out over-dramatically like terrible poetry on college ruled paper.
If I saw this movie for the first time today, I doubt I would ever think it to be anything special, but it will always hold a place for me. Everyone has those films that defined a specific moment in their small lives. A blink of video that was beautiful in the moment and gave us a feeling that never went away. The Faculty is one of those for me.
